REBEKKA
STUDIO DIRECTOR

Rebekka founded AerialFit in late 2014 and has over eighteen years’ experience in business management.  From setting up and running her own bridal boutique at the age of twenty two to assisting lead partners within a large corporate consulting firm in Sydney Rebekka has finally found her calling.  Fusing together her love for Aerials, Pilates and Dance, Rebekka set up AerialFit to bring the Hills a different way to experience movement, creating a strong and supportive community that see healthy as FEELING great not looking great. Bek and Becca have built AerialFit on a strong set of values that we'd love for you to see, check it out here.   

BECCA
STUDIO MANAGER

After studying Yoga Teaching at the Yoga Institute, and graduating in Medical Science (BSc) at The University of Technology Sydney, Becca's style of yoga incorporates Western science with Eastern wisdom. Her classes, however, capture the fun in fitness, as you cannot take anything too seriously! Following the lineage of T. Krishnamacharya, Becca invites you to join a breath centred vinyasa yoga practice that will increase your flexibility, strengthen your core, and challenge your balance, regardless of your level and experience. Becca is also a certified Fly Gym instructor, and incorporates her extensive yoga knowledge into her Aerial Yoga classes. You can expect a focus on using the breath to deepen and stabilise your aerial postures, which are taken from traditional yoga asanas (postures)!

BLAKE - SENIOR AERIAL INSTRUCTOR
SPECIALISES IN SILKS, CORDE LISSE, LYRA AND HAMMOCK

Blake is a circus performer and instructor with a dance background of over 10 years. Blake has performed nationally at festivals (first place at the Australian Circus Festival for his hammock act), gala events, cabarets, and on the corporate scene. Some of the productions he has been featured in include; “Circus Shuvano”, “The Construct” – Axis Productions, “Wonderfully Terrible Things” and “Carnivalley” – Circus Monoxide.

He has been trained by international artists and industry leaders such as cirque du soleil members and fruit fly coaches amongst many other world class artists.

Blake has extensive experience teaching the circus arts to all ages at a wide variety of schools throughout the Sydney and Wollongong areas. Under his guidance some of his students have won aerial competitions, and got accepted to study a bachelor of Circus Arts at N.I.C.A.

He loves sharing his passion with others and seeing students achieve things they never thought they were capable of. 


SARA-MAY - AERIAL INSTRUCTOR
SPECIALISES IN LYRA AND FLYING POLE

Sara-May is a passionate and experienced pole and aerials instructor, a personal trainer, a corrective exercise specialist with 26 years experience in sport, fitness and apparatus-based artistic movement, and is currently studying physiotherapy. 

Sara-May is the 2021 Australian Masters 40+ Professional Women’s Pole Sport Champion, and is both an IPSF (International Pole Sports Federation) Endorsed Coach and an IPSF Certified Judge.

Sara-May specialises in creating empowering and accessible classes for recreational aerialists (and she believes that if you've ever done an aerials class, you're an aerialist!). She loves seeing her students finish class knowing that they've accomplished something amazing

SAM - AERIAL INSTRUCTOR 
SPECIALISES IN TRAPEZE AND LYRA

Sam, a.k.a The Metal Aerialist, is a well-rounded performer, huge nerd, creator of the Aerial Pentagram and founder of ETERNITY, a rock’n’metalesque showcase of circus and aerial arts. She has been training aerials for over 10 years, specializing in trapeze and lyra and instructing for over 5 years. The Metal Aerialist loves inspiring others to achieve their goals and reach their highest potential!

BECC - AERIAL INSTRUCTOR 
SPECIALISES IN SILKS AND HAMMOCK

Becc started her aerial journey in pole fitness, but due to injury and muscle imbalances she had to find something different. When she stumbled across aerial silks and aerial yoga, she noticed that a lot of her imbalances were improving and became a stronger aerialist. Being able to watch her students embark on their own journey is what drives Becc to teach, her favorite apparatus are Silks and Hammock. She particularly enjoys helping others become stronger both mentally and physically.

CATE- AERIAL INSTRUCTOR 
SPECIALISES IN LYRA AND TRAPEZE

Cate has been doing trapeze for 7 years, Lyra for about 5 years and Hammock for 2 years. Cate loves to perform and compete in competitions like Eternity Showcase, Miss Lyra, Bend the Air and Lafolie. Cate also has 25 years of experience in ballroom dancing. Cate started teaching aerials at the beginning of 2020 and loves transferring her silks and knowledge to new students. 

SASKIA- AERIAL INSTRUCTOR 
SPECIALISES IN SILKS AND FLYING POLE


Saskia stumbled into the world of Aerial Arts back in 2010 and has been obsessed ever since. With no background in dance or fitness (or any other sport for that matter), she didn't let that stop her. Taking the leap on that first class has seen Saskia's curiosity develop into a full blown obsession, that she now lives and breathes. 


LEANNE - AERIAL, BARRE & PILATES INSTRUCTOR 
SPECIALISES IN HAMMOCK

Leanne first started at the studio in 2016 to build a bit of fitness and recover from knee surgery. What she found instead was so much more. Her love for the studio inspired her to take the next step in her wellness journey and complete her Pilates certification. You can catch her on the schedule teaching Barre and Pilates and now Hammock & Silks! Leanne’s Aerial classes are much like her studio classes. A dynamic mix-tape of music, a lot of laughs and some creative body movements. Come give classes with Leanne a try, she has a sneaky way of making you laugh so much, you forget how hard you're exercising. 

RACHEL L - AERIAL INSTRUCTOR
SPECIALISES IN HAMMOCK, SILKS AND CORDE LISSE

Rachel got bored with her daily gym grind and went looking for a more fun way to exercise. She began her aerials journey in a hammock and immediately fell in love and began to explore more apparatus. Her favourite part of teaching is helping students to achieve their goals and seeing them leave with a smile on their face. Rachel’s classes are full of energy and good vibes


MONIQUE - AERIAL INSTRUCTOR
SPECIALISES IN SILKS AND LYRA


Monique discovered aerial dance in 2018 and quickly became obsessed. Starting with Aerial Yoga and conditioning practice this soon developed into interest in aerial dance styles. Specialising in aerial yoga, lyra, and silks both as a soloist and as a duo with her partner she brings both strength and elements of dance from her floor base background in ballet, Latin and ballroom.


RACHEL S - AERIAL INSTRUCTOR
SPECIALISES IN FLYING POLE, SILKS & LYRA


Rachel commenced her athletic journey with sport aerobics and cheerleading. In 2014, she decided to explore something new and instantly fell in love with pole dancing. The excitement continued as she added aerial silks to her repertoire in 2015. Rachel's teaching journey began with a focus on pole dance, stretch, and fitness, expanding to include silks, flying pole, and occasional lyra sessions at aerialfit. A strong advocate for conditioning, Rachel prioritizes her students' strength and safety in the air. Alongside her role as a registered nurse, safety remains paramount in Rachel's teaching philosophy, emphasizing gradual learning and symmetry on both sides of the body. Witnessing those light bulb moments, where students realize they've mastered a skill they've diligently worked on, brings immense joy to Rachel's day.
